Post Op Recommendations
  • Do not do any strenuous physical activity or get emotionally excited as this may cause bleeding, at least two weeks post op.
  • Do not strain in the bathroom (take bowel softeners) and be careful when coughing or sneezing, at least two weeks post op.
  • Do not drink alcochol nor smoke nor drink any medicine that contains aspirin at least two weeks post op.
  • Do not use hot or warm compresses. Cold compresses are recommended.
 
 

  • Most dressings will become blood stained after the surgery.
  • Please contact Dr. Arguello if:
    • there is pain or discomfort not responding to medication
    • there is profuse bleeding requiring an extra dressing.
    • the facial dressing is too tight.
    • you have a fever greater than 101 or a shivering attack.
    • you have any doubts regarding your surgery.
